Stop Deben Solar Action Group
The Stop Deben Solar Action Group (SDSAG) comprises of residents from five villages, each with diverse skills and experience. This includes: Legal, Parish Council, Planning, the Energy Sector, Tourism, and Business Management. But the one thing in common is a passion to save our Countryside. The SDSAG is a non-profit, unincorporated association and all members (as well as a growing number of supporters), provide their time and expertise pro bono. All donations are managed by four Trustees (from two villages) and a Treasurer; this Funding team are all SDSAG members and will ensure that all funds are managed in accordance with the group's Constitution Document here.

Your Donations
All Funds received will go towards fighting the Planning Application for “..the construction and operation of a Solar Farm (49.9MW) and Battery Energy Storage Scheme (50MW) with all associated works, equipment, enclosures, access and biodiversity net gains”. This is currently planning reference: DC/25/2733/FUL. All monies raised will be spent on Consultants, Legal fees, Marketing materials (e.g. Leaflets, Banners, Website development/hosting fees), or any aspect that relates to the aim of the Group - to Stop Deben Solar!
Currently, there is no Fund Raising platform (we are assessing this), this ensures SDSAG have immediate control of funds and that every penny donated goes directly to our Campaign. The SDSAG is very gratefully receiving donations of fives, tens, hundreds, and even thousands of pounds - any donation of any amount helps - the costs to present a “robust” position (securing professionals renowned in their field) are significant.
